Utah Hiking
Zion National Park- No matter your hiking experience, Zion has just the trail for you. Ranging from easy to extremely strenuous, trails in clued the Emerald Pools, Weeping Rock, Angels Landing, Observation Point, Canyon Overlook, Taylor Creek, and The Narrows. Be sure to dress appropriately, and to check trail and weather conditions before starting out.
In Kane County of Southern Utah, you will find a number of hiking adventures waiting you. After all, there are the miles of trails at parks like the Sunrise Trail of Bryce Canyon, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park, and the Tuckup Trail of the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. More hiking is possible at area attractions such as the Slot Canyons, the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Dixie National Forest, the Grand Circle and Duck Creek Village. A popular hiking spot is the Cedar Breaks where you will find the Alpine Pond Nature Trail which is perfect for beginning hikers and the North Rim Loop which is better suited for more experienced hikers. Other Kane County hiking trails are the Squaw Trail in Kanab, and the winding trails of Paria.
Flaming Gorge offers miles of trails along its 91 mile long lake. There are hundreds of miles of trails were you can hike and backpack to your heart’s content.
Jones Hole Scenic Backway offers a four mile trek to the Green River, where you can then indulge in some great fishing!
The National Scenic Byway is one of the state’s most renowned wildlife viewing areas. Here you will find 4 trails with interpretive signs and information posted along the way.
Delicate Arch in Arches National Park- This is one of the absolute must do, hiking trails in Utah. Is a 1.5 mile long moderate hike, which can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
Lone Peak’s Draper Ridge and Bear Canyon Trails- Depending on which turns you take the trail is 11-13 miles long and is not for the faint of heart. In fact, towards the end of the trail, it is often necessary to use some hand maneuvers.
