Utah is a state of contradictions- you will find the Great Basin Desert that looks much like the moon’s surface and areas where lakes abound (as do the many fishing opportunities). Because of the influence of the Mormons-making up over 60% of the population-the crime rate for the state is one of the lowest in the nation, so it is an ideal place to raise a family or simply get away from the hustle and bustle of life in one’s home state. You will find a long list of activities such as camping, fishing, any number of snow related sports, and of course, shopping , fine dining and many cultural events that are held all year.
